This week, we have celebrated and embraced Early Years Well-being week which is an annual campaign to raise awareness of mental health and support the mental health of the early years’ workforce. Now in its fifth year, it was founded by author and consultant Kate Moxley.

Early years staff love their work, but it can be emotionally demanding and stressful at times. Therefore, we recognise the importance in showing our appreciation and support for all that they do and offering further help to those who may need it. Within our Monkey Puzzle Family, staff and children’s mental well-being is our core priority. As leaders, we are always advocating for more awareness of individual needs and encouraging more open conservations about well-being, it can be something as simple as taking some time out to have a hot drink and having quality interactions with each other which can help and make a difference.

We held lots of discussions around emotions and kindness with the children and also hosted a pamper session which they thoroughly enjoyed!
