Babies
Communication is a key area of your babies learning in nursery. They will spend lots of time sharing rhymes, songs and stories to develop their language and listening skills. All of our baby rooms are designed to provide a stimulating environment through the use of natural light, sensory toys and activities. Thus everything they need to help them learn to play! Our baby rooms are all about igniting the baby’s curiosity. This enables them to not only learn, but to develop relationships, grow a personality and generally thrive.
Toddlers
At this stage of their learning, your child will be mainly learning through play-based activities. They will also be learning about routine and developing early literacy and maths skills. As well as this, they will be learning about the world around them and learning social skills. Toddlers begin to learn by doing things for themselves, by exploring and investigating, watching and listening, talking and discussing, creating and communicating. In other words, by playing! Toddlers have the chance to play and learn in groups and one-to-ones with a member of staff. They also benefit from playing with other children, which helps them to gain confidence and develop their social skills.
Pre-school
A structured day for Pre-schoolers is centred around the seven key stages of learning. Specifically, language & literacy, numeracy, knowledge & understanding of the world, emotional & social development, physical development, and creative development. Pre-school for us is all about learning through play to prepare our children for Primary school. By the time this time comes, our Pre-schoolers certainly know how to play! We know that making the transition between nursery and primary school as easy as possible is key for pre-schoolers. Monitoring their growth in every aspect is very important to prepare them for the next stage of their life.
